PH Electronics export performance soar to greater heights amid the pandemic

The Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI) Electronics Export earmarked the growth of the Electronics Export for the year 2021. Based on the Philippine Import and Export Statistics of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), electronics exports rose to US$45.92 billion in 2021 which is 12.90% higher than the US$ 40.67 billion in 2020. SEIPI is a known and well-respected partner of the Export Development Council (EDC) and DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB).  In fact, its President, Mr. Danilo C. Lachica sits as an EDC Executive Committee member representing the Electronics Sector and also as the Chairperson of the Networking Committee on Trade Policies and Procedures Simplification (NCTPPS). He has been instrumental to the flourishing convergence between the private and public sectors.

The collaborative efforts executed by EDC, DTI-EMB, and SEIPI brought forth opportunities and successes in the business climate of the Electronics Export Industry despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.FJLI
