The International Trade Centre’s (ITC) organized a briefing session on its Market Analysis Tools, Standards Map, and SME Sustainability Toolkit that can support evidence-based and sustainable trade decision-making on global public goods.
The practical briefing session introduced participants to the ITC’s suite of online tools designed to support informed and sustainable trade decision-making. Developed as global public goods, these tools provide policymakers, trade support institutions, and businesses worldwide with access to trade intelligence, market access information, and sustainability resources.ITC demonstrated how to use these resources to identify market opportunities, understand market access conditions and sustainability requirements, and strengthen support services for MSMEs. Participants learned how ITC’s Market Analysis Tools could be used to assess trade performance, identify promising products and markets, and understand market access conditions.
The session also featured Standards Map, which helps users navigate and compare sustainability standards across markets and value chains, and ITC’s SME Sustainability Toolkit, which provides practical resources to help businesses assess and improve their sustainability performance.
These tools are highly relevant to exporters as they provide accessible, practical information that can support market research, identify potential export markets and products, assess market access requirements, and understand sustainability standards increasingly required in global value chains. The Market Analysis Tools, Standards Map, and SME Sustainability Toolkit can help exporters make more informed decisions, improve their competitiveness, and better prepare for global market requirements.
