BOC and PHILEXPORT Strengthen Partnership to Enhance Trade Facilitation

At the 6th Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) meeting, held at Rizal Park Hotel, Kalaw Avenue, representatives from the Bureau of Customs (BOC), PHILEXPORT, and other key stakeholders gathered to address ongoing challenges in trade facilitation. The discussions focused on significant trade concerns raised in previous meetings, including the ATA Carnet system under Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) 8-2024, the draft CMO on Customs Administrative Order (CAO) No. 02-2024 related to dues, fees, and charges, and a proposal to extend the validity of Account Management Office (AMO) accreditation/renewal for compliant companies by one year.

DTI and PHILEXPORT collaborates to promote Free Trade Agreement benefits

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (PHILEXPORT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Export Development Council Meeting on 11 June 2024 to formalize the partnership between the two organizations in promoting the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) benefits.

EDC, DTI-EMB, and PHILEXPORT to conduct PEDP 2023-2028 Regionalization nationwide

The Export Development Council (EDC), the DTI-Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), and PHILEXPORT will conduct the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023-2028 Regionalization Roadshow nationwide. The event will feature presentations, workshops, and seminars to bring together exporters, would-be exporters, government agencies, LGUs, academe, and media in the top exporting regions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. With the primary aim of cascading the government agencies Programs, Activities, Projects (PAPs) supportive of the implementation of the PEDP, participants will acquire a firsthand understanding of the strategic direction and targets outlined in the plan. To read more about it, click this link  .
