BOC-NAIA holds first CICAC general assembly for 2025, strengthens industry collaboration

The Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA), led by District Collector Atty. Yasmin O. Mapa, convened its first General Assembly with the Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) for 2025.

The assembly provided key updates from 2024, highlighting BOC-NAIA’s border protection efforts and the total number of seized goods by commodity from January to December. Confiscated items included drugs, foreign and local currencies, medicines, and other regulated products.

PBBM Encourages Public-Private Collaboration for Jobs

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (PBBM) welcomes the plan to implement the Private Sector Jobs and Skills Corp (PSJSC) to reform the skills of the Filipino workforce, address jobs, the mismatch of skills, and provide additional employment for the Filipinos. 

In the meeting with the Private Sector Advisory Council-Job Sector Group (PSAC-JSG) on 18 May 2023 at Malacañang, PBBM emphasized the need for the collaboration of the government and private sector to generate more jobs.
