The Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT) is launching a digitalization program to ensure business sustainability and resiliency amid the pandemic’s economic consequences.
Executive Vice President Senen Perlada introduced the PHILEXPORT: 30 and Future Ready, or simply P30, at the organization’s third general membership meeting on September 14, 2021. P30 would also be the theme of the PHILEXPORT’s 30th anniversary in October 2022.
The program has a two-pronged approach: aiming to leverage technology to enhance business decision-making; and fostering stakeholders’ collaboration. Increasing productivity and business continuity while saving resources and continuously moving forward.
EVP Perlada remarked, “The first strategy is to embrace technology in various forms: digital technology, information technology, business technology, communication technology, (and) product technology.”
The second strategy according to him is strengthening and tightening engagement with stakeholders and key actors in public-private partnerships to advance the interests of Philippine exporters.
P30 has five components, the PHILEXPORT Portal, Road to FIRe Project, Business Continuity Plan, Thematic Champions and Clusters, and the Export Connect.
The PHILEXPORT Portal would ultimately allow members and PHILEXPORT National to conduct online transactions and communications. The following features are being developed: information provision, business matching service, promotion, and marketing. Members who do not have a website but would like to extend their online presence can utilize this portal for microsites or templates to create their portal. Online membership applications and renewal will likewise be available without the need for face-to-face interactions.
The main goal of the year-long project is to put in place systems and tools that will enable PHILEXPORT and its members to survive and thrive even during the crisis.ADSC
