The ATA Carnet, also known as the “Passport of Goods,” is finally slated for implementation on  15 July 2024. This long-awaited development will allow exporters to enjoy tax-free and streamlined temporary admission of goods into member countries.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bureau of Customs  frontliners training sessions will take place on 18-19 June 2024 at Singapore Customs.  Furthermore, exporters training  session in the Philippines  will culminate on 20 June 2024 to be participated by industry associations, chambers of commerce, sports associations, film and entertainment organizers, and business professionals

Following the grand launch of the ATA Carnet on 15 July 2024, scheduled roadshows will take place across the Philippines to raise awareness about the benefits of the ATA Carnet.

In the meantime, the PCCI is already accepting accreditation applications from businesses that intend to utilize the passport for goods.

The Export Development Council (EDC) has long advocated for the ATA Carnet, as it will encourage more business activities through Tourism MICE leading to economic growth, ease the cost of doing business, streamline trade facilitation, and simplify customs clearance procedures. AGPM
