PHILEXPORT and e-KONEK ink Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the encoding and lodgement of import and export declarations using e-Konek’s value-added service provider (VASP) system, which connects to the Bureau of Customs’ Electronic-to-Mobile System.

The MOA spells out that e-Konek shall provide project-based encoders to train in submitting export declarations using the e-konek VASP system.  While PHILEXPORT will supply the workspace and consumable office supplies for the service.
It was agreed that only Php 15 will be collected for encoding services per trade transaction, and Php 5 per page for the printing services. The proceeds from the services will be equally shared and both parties will shall be liable for any loss generated from the business.

PHILEXPORT is the accredited export umbrella organization, mandated to advocate, develop and promote exports under the Export Development Act of 1994. On the other hand, e-KONEK is an e-VASP that provides the largest Value-Added Service Provider for e-Governance services in the Philippines, including the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

With full trust and confidence, President Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis, Jr. and e-KONEK President Teresita Eisma jointly signed the MOA on 20 June 2023.  The said MOA will be valid for a period of three (3) years or until 19 June 2026 subject to review and renewal by the parties. AGPM
