Nominated to chair the Philippine National Single Window’s (PNSW) Monitoring and Oversight Cluster, the Export Development Council (EDC) shall oversee the coordination of the executive departments and agencies’ participation in and execution of the NSW. The cluster is made up of representatives from various agencies in charge of managing the policies, rules, and standards for approving or granting licenses for the importation and exportation of commodities free from duties and taxes.
The NSW trade procedure is a paperless trade procedure that allows for the single submission of data and information through an internet-based platform or application that is synchronously processed to result in a single point of decision for the release of cargoes by Customs, based on decisions made by other Departments and Agencies of government and communicated in a timely manner to Customs.
To guarantee a seamless transition and effective implementation of the TRGAs, the EDC Networking Committee on Trade Policies and Procedures Simplification in collaborative partnership with ARTA shall ensure that the TRGAs are implemented properly and smoothly in the NSW.
Various government departments and foreign representatives attended the NSW Summit held at F1 Hotel on September 22, 2022, to tackle on the latest developments in the NSW and their experiences and best practices.
