ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez led the launching ceremony of the 2023 Philippine Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Training Workbook on August 15, 2023, at the Novotel Manila.
The RIA Training Workbook is a comprehensive guide for implementing government agencies, including their respective offices and exporters, enabling them to carry out and embrace the RIA process effectively. The workbook offers systematic instructions, equipping them with essential knowledge and tools to navigate regulatory requirements, optimize efficiency, and foster an environment conducive to growth.
The said workbook was published by ARTA Better Regulations Office-Regulatory Management and Training Division (BRO-RMTD) in partnership with the United Kingdom Government’s Department for Business and Trade (UK-DBT).
The pilot training was attended by representatives from the Department of Health – Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau (DOH-HFSRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Games and Amusement Board (GAB), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
ARTA, as a key regulatory agency, is tasked with conducting RIA to consistently streamline and review regulations that impact import and export-related activities under the provisions of Republic Act 11032, also known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act. Therefore, this initiative by ARTA aligns with its unwavering commitment to enhancing the export ecosystem outlined in the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP). AOB
